Back from Boston!!

All I can say is I LOVE BOSTON!! Wow, what an amazing trip my husband and I had visiting this beautiful city. I would say that spring is probably one of the most beautiful times to see Boston. I don't think I've ever seen so many gorgeous flowering trees. My favorites were the Magnolia trees (6th photo down).

Boston is a great walking city. Our first day we were going to Fenway park to watch a Sox game and decided to make the 1.5 mile walk up commonwealth street and it was so worth it. We got to take in the beautiful architecture and also the statues and monuments of years past.

We dinned at two amazing restaurants that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend if you're ever in the area. The first was a little place in the North End of Boston, often regarded as a "little Italy". The place is called Ristorante Fiore (http://www.ristorantefiore.com/). They had the quaintest outdoor dining. I think we spent two hours there just soaking in the atmosphere, sipping great wine and eating awesome Italian food! The other place we went to was called Avila. It's a Modern Mediterranean restaurant and serves things "course" style. The food here was also amazing and yet totally different from Fiore. The staff was amazing and made sure my husbands birthday was a dining experience to remember! We dinned on items such as chilled tomato soup with lobster and roasted lamb with a cucumber mint sauce! Definitely check this place out http://www.avilarestaurant.com/

The last day in Boston we squeezed in a private tour of Fenway Park, the OLDEST ballpark in the US! What a great tour, to see the park completely empty. It gave me some great shots as well, compared to when we were there just a few days before watching the Sox play.

All in all, Boston is a gorgeous city that offers the best of Architecture, Cuisine and interesting history! I look forward to a trip there again sometime!
